HISTORY OF TEQUILA BLUE BOTTLE

 The Dream

25 years ago, we had a dream: to share the magic of Mexican culture with the world.

Our culture, our traditions, and our land have inspired us on this journey.

I. Our Name & First Decanter

Our iconic decanter, a unique creation in the world made by the hands of Mexican artisans, began our dream.

Clase Azul—blue like the agave our spirits are made from and like the paint on our first Reposado decanter.

II. The Pillars

We are grateful to have found people along our way who believed in our exquisite vision of Mexico: a vision full of dedication, excellence, and beauty.

III. The Breakthrough

These 25 years haven’t been without difficulties. Different threats, such as natural disasters and financial crises, made us question our future existence.

By believing in our dream and staying true to our ideals we overcame adversity.

 A Statement of Mexican Craftsmanship

To make our exquisite creations possible, in 2007 we founded Tradición Mazahua—a ceramic workshop in which Clase Azul artisans dedicate themselves to creating our decanters, tributes to Mexican culture.

IV. Sharing a Purpose

Fulfilling our dream also means helping others fulfill theirs. Therefore, the transformation of our people is a fundamental part of our history.

Through Fundación Causa Azul we strengthen communities of artisans so that they can thrive while preserving their heritage and cultural legacy.

With our soccer team, Mazorqueros, we seek to transform the lives of young people and improve their quality of life through education, access to healthcare, dignified housing, and helping them reach their goals as athletes.

V. The Transformation

We want to transcend and represent our culture around the world with creations and spaces that reveal the heart of Mexico.

Today we’re proud to be sharing the magic of Mexico with more than 55 countries.

VI. Our New Brand Identity

Today we have transformed to Clase Azul México, yet we stay true to the values that have been with us since the beginning. We preserve the spirit that drives us to share the magic of our culture with the world.

VII. A Bright Future

Today we are Clase Azul México, the dream that has transformed itself over the last 25 years.

Thank you for joining us on our journey, but most of all thank you for being a part of what will be a bright future together.

                                                            OUR DISTILLATES

·         Our most exquisite traditions

Mexico is a land of countless landscapes, rich and diverse. In the West, among valleys and hills, lies a region of great importance to us: Jalisco. Here blue agave has been honored for centuries; a plant whose exquisite distillate is testimony to centuries of Jalisco’s culture and traditions.

Tequila is one of our most precious treasures and our culture of generosity inspires us to share it with the world.

A transformation over the years

Our agaves grow in Los Altos de Jalisco, a region of red-colored earth where the elevation, minerals and climatic conditions create unique properties in the plant.

To become tequila, agave goes through a long transformation:

Fermentation with our patented yeast imparts our distinctive profile to the elixir. Its notes are then molded through a double distillation in copper stills. This dedicated effort results in an exquisite tequila.

Time is the artisan

Clase Azul Tequila Plata is the result of the distillation; a brilliant unaged tequila that faithfully captures the notes of the agave. Nevertheless, for our tequilas, the journey isn’t over.

Time is essential in making tequilas with more complex profiles. To create them, our unaged tequila is allowed to mature in casks made from oak or other types of wood, studying and evaluating its evolution over the course of months and years.

From the distinguished Clase Azul Tequila Reposado to the extra aged Clase Azul Tequila Ultra, we firmly believe that each drop of tequila expresses something unique about the richness and character that only time can bestow.

Mexico’s best-kept secrets

Nine regions of the vast Mexican territory are proud guardians to a rich and ancestral tradition: mezcal.

Each mezcal is a reflection of the soil and conditions that have nourished the agave and led to its growth.

Exquisite stories

Each of our decanters speaks to our Exquisite Mexico.

Our tequila decanters tell stories through their decoration. Our artisans apply brushstrokes with great skill on the ceramic surface to create the beautiful patterns that distinguish our icons.
